This was my favorite shot in my mid-20′s and when layered, is actually fun to make. The B-52 shot is traditionally a layered drink with just three simple liquors: Bailey’s Irish Cream, Kahlua and Grand Marnier. I preferred to drink the B-52 chilled; Either shaken and strained or made up ahead of time and chilled on ice or in the refrigerator.
The B-52 is a sweet and creamy cocktail, without being overly creamy.
Here’s the recipe:
- 1 part Irish Cream (Bailey’s®)
- 1 part Grand Marnier
- 1 part Kahlua®
Layer Kahlua, then using the back of a bar spoon, float the Bailey’s over the Kahlua and then do the same with the Grand Marnier. Serve in a shot glass.
- 1 part Kahlua® coffee liqueur
- 1 part shot amaretto almond liqueur
- 1 part shot Bailey’s® Irish cream Continue reading
